There were also a nice effect on the floor, which looked like slime, and some cool photos from the movies. It had a framed photo with autographs from the cast, and a very cool mural. My Ghostbusters room was also super cool. The AC also worked fine, although it was very noisy.
GAY BAR DENVER DOWNTOWN TV
Overall, the room offered most of the amenities I would expect of a Hilton, including good Wi-Fi and a good TV with lots of channels.
The reception area also had a fridge with soda and water. Due to the hotel’s central location in Denver, there are many places nearby where you can buy stuff for the room. In the room, there was a fridge, but no mini bar, so I’d recommend stocking up on snacks. If we were to find ourselves back in Denver I don’t want to stay anyplace but The Curtis. They were small and the showers had a tendency to get water all over the floor.
My only complaint about The Curtis was the bathrooms. The regular room we stayed in fine, just a bit on the small side. We stayed in the Fun & Games and the Sci-Fi themed rooms. The theming and decor of the hotel are extremely fun. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The location is great just steps away from the Denver Center for the Performing Arts and like two blocks from the 16th Street Mall. I would definitely recommend grabbing some breakfast/brunch there, if at all possible. We had breakfast at The Corner Office Restaurant and loved it. The front desk also left a note with their recommendations for things to do and restaurants and bars that they personally like – which is a nice touch and helpful, especially for tourists. The location is excellent in that it’s in LoDo and a 5-10 min walk away to Larimer Square or the 16th St Mall, etc.
GAY BAR DENVER DOWNTOWN PROFESSIONAL
The staff also surprised us with a very nice bottle of brut and some chocolates and in general, I found the staff very professional and friendly. Our room itself is spacious and had great decor with a very good view of the mountains. Oh, and did I say it is in a great location if you want to be in the center of the action downtown? Our moderate sized room was comfortable and clean. The decor is a bit quirky for adults, but could appeal to younger folks. But the hotel tried to make it up to guests and make the best of a difficult situation. We stayed there over the Holidays, during the disruption from a major lobby renovation. The best thing about The Curtis is its location – across the street from the DCPA, two blocks to the 16th St Mall, 3 blocks from Larimer Square, about an equal distance from the Convention Center. Other amenities include a fitness center, a Starbucks coffee shop, and a gift shop selling retro treats and games. Suites add living spaces with pull-out sofas and bar areas.Ī modern restaurant features international fare and a martini bar.
